Isolation

Ideas

Reimagine what you have.
Change trash to treasures.
Learn new skills.
Think creatively.
Have fun.

Keep recycling materials that have interesting shapes and possibilities.
Find your scissors and glue. Find your sewing needles and string. Empty your junk drawer.
Raid your stash of broken things you meant to fix.
We are posting ideas, tips, techniques for craft, art, and upcycling
while we all are staying home safely.

We are also looking for your ideas, pictures, questions, challenges.
Send us pictures, ideas, lists, drawings. We will put them in a slide show.

 The Recyle Bin Challenges

Challenge # 1
What can you do with an empty toilet paper or paper towel roll?

Picture
Robot arms for your cat:
definitely creative, but not highly recommended. Cats have claws and are highly unpredictable - except this one who will tolerate almost anything except a hat - when he feels like it.
No cheating. The rolls have to be empty first.

Challenge # 2
What can you do with empty cardboard boxes?

Picture
A mental map.
Build a three dimensional map of your neighbourhood - without going outside- but from what you remember.
What else can you do with boxes?

Challenge # 3
What can you do with origami or paper folding?

Picture
Folded paper sculpture:
again this particular method is not recommended unless you want all that work riccochetting around your living room.
We want origami and paper sculpture pictures to inspire us all. Use magazines, scrap paper, printer waste.
